A new Mediterranean restaurant and bar named Kyma has opened on South Road in Waterloo. The venue offers guests an array of options across grilled and seafood dishes and traditional small plates.
The Kyma team spent more than £1.2m transforming an old pub into a cosy, modern venue. The restaurant’s interiors opt for neutral themes and colours, with soft hues, lighting and rustic fixtures throughout.

The restaurant and bar hold 60 people, with an additional 30-person outdoor terrace complete with a fully retractable roof and heating. Guests are able to order a shisha in the outdoor space.
Owner Natasha Moran, 35 from Liverpool, has more than 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. She hopes to recreate the ambiance of the Greek Islands with a relaxed atmosphere and a strong menu and offer something unique to the area.
Natasha said: “I’m delighted to be opening the doors at Kyma, welcoming locals as well as guests from further afield in Liverpool and beyond. I wanted to create a different offering in the area and bring together what I love about hospitality: great food and drinks, beautiful décor and unmatched ambiance.
“Kyma is a Mediterranean escape…We can’t wait to welcome you all to our new restaurant and bar for an unforgettable experience.”
